Blue Turtle Video’s Creative Director and lead videographer, Justin Heitman has worked with Australia’s largest post production company, Digital Pictures, since his career began in the feature film and television industry.
Constantly dipping his finger in the production pot, spending time out on film sets and working on his own video productions, Justin thought it necessary to take the step into creating his own Videos/DVD’s, offering a level of expertise unsurpassed in the Whitsunday’s.

Justin joined Digital Pictures in 1990 and soon after realised his ambition to become a world class colourist. Over the past sixteen years Justin has worked across a multitude of projects including music video clips, series, telemovies, documentary, commercials and feature films his imprimatur is obvious on each and every project. Justin's creative style and his knowledge and hands on experience using the latest digital colour correction systems including Lustre and the Cintel DSX with the da Vinci 2K color corrector, makes him a strong candidate for clients who want a little more out of their pictures.
Over the years, Justin has worked with some of Australia's top directors and DOPs who have unanimously commended his High Definition and DI grades of feature films. Justin's series/telemovies work includes Ocean Girl, Sea Change, Journey to the Centre of the Earth(USA), Pirate Islands, Crash Burn, Wicked Science, Evil Never Dies HD(USA),Salem's Lot HD(USA), Kath and Kim, Secret Life of Us Series 1 SD and 4 HD. Justin has graded the feature films, The Dish, Dope, You Can't Stop The Murders and Horse Play in Standard Definition, Bad Eggs, Take Away, The Wannabees, Missing Tom, Crackerjack, Three Dollars, You and Your Stupid Mate and Hating Alison Ashleigh in High Definition and recently completing the DI grades for Caterpillar Wish, Kenny and Macbeth.
Justin is a keen music clip colourist, some of his work including Bachelor Girl, Savage Garden, 28 Days, You Am I and Eskimo Joe. He has also worked closely with Midnight Oil, most recently Co Producing and colour grading their latest DVD "Best of Both Worlds" which won an ARIA (Australian Record Industry Award) for Best Music DVD. His outstanding grades for the surfing icon, Rip Curl, allows him to grade some of the most outstanding footage taken from around the world for Television, DVD's, promotions and special presentations.
